Illegal mix of collations (utf8_general_ci,IMPLICIT)

Haciendo una comparacion entre dos tablas a traves de un campo email recibo el siguiente mensaje.

La select basicamente es esto.

SELECT * FROM Sumados where nombre not in (select nombre from tabla2);

Illegal mix of collations (utf8_general_ci,IMPLICIT) and (utf8_spanish_ci,IMPLICIT) for operation ‘=’

La solucion pasa por usar un cast o convert, yo en mi caso uso cast(nombre as char)

SELECT * FROM tabla2u where cast(nombre as CHAR)  not in ( SELECT cast(nombre as CHAR) FROM Sumados S);
